  1. 1.4.0

Paper 26.2 support and held items 1:1

The recorder now covers Minecraft 1.21.11 through Paper 26.2, Purpur 26.2 and Folia 26.2. Held blocks and tools sit 1:1 with Minecraft.

    • New
Record and play on Minecraft 1.21.11 through Paper 26.2, Purpur 26.2 and Folia 26.2. Folia 26.2 is a PaperMC Fill BETA build.
    • Improved
Held blocks and tools now sit 1:1 with Minecraft in the viewer. Sword seating is unchanged.
  2. 1.2.1

Correct replay card lengths, and match scoping on every version

Replay cards now show the length they actually play, the match and scope surface ships enabled on every supported version, and timeline markers and event clips can be scoped to a single match.

    • New
Timeline markers and event clips can now be attached to a specific match. Servers running more than one match at a time no longer see one match's markers cross onto another's timeline.
    • Fixed
A replay card now shows the length it actually plays. A session that ran past one recording rotation used to appear as several cards, each showing only its own segment's length, even though every one of those cards played the full session.
    • Fixed
The match and scope surface now ships enabled and works on 1.8 through 1.12 as well as on modern servers. It shipped inert on every install: the legacy and modern recorder lanes packaged a config file to the same path inside the jar, and only one of the two survived.
    • Fixed
Each recorder lane now ships its own configuration file. An install left holding the wrong lane's file is corrected automatically on upgrade, with a dated backup taken first and the change written to the log.
  3. 1.2.0

    Network integration API

A developer API for match-aware integrations: logical collections over the continuous recording, concurrent match scopes, embargo control and a paginated catalog. Developer-facing only; nothing changes in the dashboard.

    • New
New network integration API. Your own plugin can lay a logical match record over a server's continuous recording: collections, concurrent match scopes so a server that never restarts still marks where one game ends and the next begins, parent and child replay assets with per-participant relationships, participants, teams and facets, a paginated catalog with bulk lookup, short-lived watch tickets, signed webhooks with retries and a delivery log, and hold, release and revoke for embargoed matches. This release covers the API and the recorder only: there is no dashboard screen for collections, matches, embargo or webhooks yet. On the recorder it is on by default on 1.13 and newer and off by default on 1.8 to 1.12, and it needs cloud upload configured either way.
    • Fixed
Starting or ending a match no longer blocks the server's main thread. Against a full outbox those calls measured 1.4 to 1.7 seconds each; they now run off-thread.
    • Fixed
Webhook subscriptions no longer accept event names that could never be delivered.
    • Security
A held or revoked match could still expose its title, duration and poster-frame thumbnail through the public portal and share links. The footage itself was never reachable; the metadata is now withheld as well.
  4. 1.1.4

Capture fidelity, faster playback and custom domains

Broader capture on modern and legacy servers, faster playback on long matches, custom domains for Pro workspaces and full paid retention.

    • New
Capture now records positional sound cues, coloured chat with rank prefixes, slime and magma cube sizing, mount tack, live block changes such as redstone and pistons, stored book enchantments, experience bar progress and weather.
    • New
Legacy 1.8 to 1.12 servers now record sneak and sleep poses, and water and lava record at their correct levels.
    • New
Paid workspaces can connect a domain to a public Network Portal; the private Dashboard remains on ReplayCore.
    • Improved
Large and long replays load and scrub faster in the browser.
    • Improved
Simpler Downloads page with guided server setup, clearer per-server categories and settings, first-time category onboarding, and documentation search.
    • Fixed
Retention now delivers the full paid window: Starter keeps 30 days and Pro keeps 60.
  5. 1.1.3

Per-server visibility, multi-POV review and bigger plans

Per-server visibility controls, multi-POV and first-person review, and larger storage and retention on every plan.

    • New
Per-server and network-wide visibility controls: choose which staff roles can see chat, commands and other sensitive data on each server. Viewers below the required role receive a copy of the replay with the restricted data removed.
    • New
White-label brand colours across the dashboard.
    • New
Shared watch links unfurl into a branded, playable preview on Discord, X and other platforms.
    • New
Multi-POV review: follow two viewpoints on one timeline, or watch from any player's first-person view.
    • Improved
Starter now includes 50 GB of storage and 30 days of retention; Pro now includes 150 GB and 60 days.
    • Improved
Resolution-aware clip export with quality presets for each output size.
    • Improved
Added a team roles legend and permission glossary.
    • Fixed
Removed the brief blank moment as a recording finalised; corrected legacy shulker facings, glowing entity team colours, and sign dye and glow text.
    • Security
Security and stability hardening across the dashboard, cloud and viewer.
  6. 1.1.2

Real game sound and truer rendering

Authentic in-game audio, real game textures and lighting, two-step verification and a documented developer API.

    • New
Bows, hits, fall damage and explosions now play authentic in-game audio during playback.
    • New
Documented Java developer API for integrating your own plugins, with the full reference on the website.
    • New
Coming soon: a free plan for recording and watching replays, with paid plans adding storage, modules and integrations.
    • Improved
Mobs and animals render from their real game textures, including animal coats and patterns, villager professions and trade levels.
    • Improved
Replays are lit by the recorded time of day, weather and dimension, with vanilla-accurate limb swing and idle motion for squid and ghast.
    • Fixed
First-person hand and held item display correctly, the status effect glow appears on affected players, and the dark seam on slim (Alex) skins is gone, along with smaller texture and lighting fixes.
    • Fixed
Removed the false 'gaps in session' notice that appeared on most replays, along with performance and stability fixes across the viewer, dashboard and cloud.
    • Security
Two-step verification for accounts, sign out of every device at once, tighter privacy defaults and clearer retention information.
  7. 1.1.1

    Player search and smoother playback

Search replays by player, plus dashboard refinements and playback performance fixes.

    • New
Player search: find every replay a player appears in, by username or UUID.
    • Improved
Dashboard refinements make recent recordings and recording activity easier to scan.
    • Fixed
Removed stutter during playback of long, block-heavy matches.
    • Fixed
Replays open and start playing sooner.
  8. 1.1.0

    Death-cam and rendering fixes

Death-cam for KitPvP and practice servers, a free camera in the viewer, and a wave of rendering fixes.

    • New
Death-cam for KitPvP and practice servers: a button on the death screen opens the viewer at the seconds before a death, from the killer's point of view.
    • New
Free camera in the viewer: detach from any player and fly anywhere in the scene.
    • Improved
Stairs, boats, doors, trapped chests, enchantment glint and translucent blocks now render correctly during playback.
    • Improved
Multi-world recordings reconstruct terrain more faithfully, including chases that cross dimensions.

    • New
30-day recording activity chart on the dashboard.
    • Improved
Replays upload to the cloud as they record, so little builds up on the game server.
    • Fixed
Very short matches now always finish uploading.
    • Security
Every recording is checked for tampering before it plays, and any altered replay is flagged so it is never presented as authentic evidence.
