How retention works
Every replay is stamped with a retention_until date when it is recorded. After that date the replay becomes eligible for automatic purge. Retention follows your plan: 14 days on Free, 30 days on Starter, 60 days on Pro, and custom on Enterprise.
Replays move between storage tiers as they age. Recent replays sit in the hot tier for fast playback; older replays move to the cold tier, which is cheaper but slower to retrieve. Tiering is automatic and does not change a replay's retention date.
Storage quotas
Each plan includes a storage allowance, and the dashboard shows your current usage. Free includes 1 GB. That is a hard cap: when it is full, new recordings are rejected. Delete replays or upgrade, then run /replaycore forcestart. Starter, Pro and Enterprise raise the allowance.
On Paper, Purpur, Folia and Spigot 1.8.8 the console then repeats: ReplayCore: cloud storage is full. Recording has stopped. Delete replays in the dashboard or upgrade your plan, then run /replaycore forcestart. Recording stays stopped until you free space or upgrade and run that command.
Free space by deleting old replays from the panel or via DELETE /v1/replays/{id}; deletion is permanent and recomputes your usage immediately.
Keeping less than the default
For stricter data minimisation, delete replays you no longer need from the panel (or via the API); deletion is immediate and permanent. Lengthening retention beyond your plan limit is not possible; upgrade your plan for a longer window.
