Read the current recorder state
Use this reference with the current ReplayCore plugin. Earlier builds can use different wording or a legacy error code. Read the full message from the affected Minecraft server, including the action after the code.
Run /replaycore status to check whether recording is active, stopped or blocked. A server shown in the dashboard is not by itself proof that it is recording. Remove recording keys, passwords and private player data before you share a console excerpt.
/replaycore statusSuccessful startup
Connection verified for server followed by the server name and Recording is ENABLED means the recording key passed the connection check. Ready. Recording is active. confirms that the recorder reached its ready state. Check the current status if a later message reports a stop.
An upload and processing step follows capture. The ready message does not mean that a finished replay is already available in the dashboard.
[ReplayCore] Ready. Recording is active.Dependency or claim required
[RC-PACKETEVENTS-001] means recording is dependency-blocked on a modern server. Install the required official PacketEvents version shown by the server, then restart. Use 2.13.0+ through Minecraft 26.2 and 2.14.0+ on supported Paper, Purpur and Spigot 26.3. The Paper and Spigot 1.8.8–1.12.2 legacy lane does not require PacketEvents and never prints [RC-PACKETEVENTS-001]. Folia 26.3 is not verified.
[RC-CLAIM-GATE], or [RC-CONFIG-CLAIM] on earlier builds, means the server still needs approval. Read the short code from that server's console or /replaycore status, open the Downloads URL printed in the message and approve the server. Recording remains blocked until that step is complete.
Server limit or rejected key
[RC-LIMIT] means the workspace server limit prevents this server from connecting. Recording is disabled on the affected server. Free a slot by removing a retired server or upgrade the plan, then restart this server. Do not delete its local archives or private plugin state to resolve the limit.
[RC-KEY-401] means the recording key was rejected as invalid or revoked. Open Downloads, obtain the current configuration and update the affected server as the console message instructs. Check the server's status after restarting.
Cloud connection and grace
[RC-GRACE-ACTIVE] means the cloud could not be reached for verification and the plugin is using a valid cached grace window. The message states when that window expires. Recording stays enabled within that window; local storage must remain available for recordings awaiting upload.
[RC-GRACE] means the plugin cannot use a valid grace window and recording is disabled. Restore the cloud connection and follow the message before restarting. Do not assume that an offline server can record indefinitely.
Cloud storage is full
When the console reports that cloud storage is full, recording has stopped. Delete replays you no longer need or upgrade the plan, then run /replaycore forcestart. Deleting or upgrading alone does not resume capture.
Check /replaycore status after the command. If it still reports a blocked state, resolve the reported condition before expecting new recordings.
/replaycore forcestartIf the message is not listed
Use the Common errors, Licence errors or Playback issues guide for the affected stage. For support, include your Minecraft platform and version, ReplayCore version, the command output and the surrounding error messages. State whether the issue affects startup, capture, upload, processing or playback.
